PRIDE grants help homes and neighborhoods look good by providing up to $600 for limited exterior residential improvements in 13 participating neighborhoods: Clinton, Downtown, East Campus, Everett, Hartley, Havelock, Hawley/Malone, Irvingdale, Near South, North Bottoms, South Salt Creek, Univer-sity Place and Woods Park.
Applications for PRIDE grants are available beginning March 1, 2011 and funds are divided equally among the thirteen neighborhoods. Any funds remaining on May 1, 2011 will be distributed on a first come first-served basis. Annual income cannot exceed 80% of Lin-coln median income and is based on size of household.
PRIDE grants are for materials only and not for labor or equipment expenses. To be reimbursed, improvements need to be pre-approved by Urban Development staff, completed, and receipts submitted for all materials used. Painting (including related exterior repair) is PRIDE’S first priority. Other improvements can be funded if painting is included or not needed.
