NSNA 2012 Biketacular – Volunteers Needed

The 4th annual Near South bike racing extravaganza,  Biketacular,  will take place on Saturday, May 19th8am  -  5pm. Participants and spectators can meet at Goodhue Boulevard, south of the State Capitol.

Activities will include biking, bike racing, a bike rodeo, bike maintenance, safety stations, face painting, children’s bike races and unicycle demonstrations, among other things. From 10am – noon, kids can enjoy free activites on G St., just north of McPhee Elementary School. Kids can also join the bike decoration parade at Noon.

The Capitol City Criterium pro- and semi-pro racing will feature USA Cycling-sanctioned awards ceremony with medals awarded within six divisions. Adult races will occur 3 separate times between 9am and 3:30pm.

Don’t forget to bring your bikes, helmets, blankets, and lawn chairs for this fun-filled day. And, come out and enjoy food and drink items even if you’re not a bike enthusiast!
