NSNA 50th Anniversary Party on Aug 12

The time is finally here!  Our neighbors raised money through plant sales, garage sales, Give to Lincoln Day, and the Tour of Homes.  All have been dedicated to renovating Peach Park! So much to celebrate, including our 50th Anniversary!

Multiple events over multiple years will now culminate in a wonderful celebration for our Neighborhood. The Near South Neighborhood Association (NSNA) will present the Lincoln Parks Foundation with a check for $35,000 to be applied to Peach Park improvements at this celebration to be held on Saturday, August 12, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the park, located at 1425 Peach Street. The check presentation is at 5:30.

Our Summer Social, with food trucks and games, is open to the public, and will celebrate not only the monetary gift for Peach Park, but also the 50th Anniversary of the Near South Neighborhood Association, formed by caring neighbors in 1972.

In 2021 we began fundraising to help pay for a number of updates to the park, including moving the basketball court, upgrading playground equipment, installing a picnic shelter, and replacing the broken drinking fountain. Read More
