The Near South Neighborhood Association (NSNA) is an organization of citizens concerned with historic preservation, revitalization of older properties, and maintenance of the neighborhood for low–density residential land use.
NSNA was formed in 1972 by thirty residents who wanted their neighborhood to have an active voice in the formulation of the city’s comprehensive plan. Almost forty years later, NSNA continues to represent the neighborhood with a strong, active voice in city government and neighborhood zoning issues.
In addition to our day to day work helping to strengthen and improve our neighborhood, we also organize a variety of annual events such as our ice cream social, Tour of Homes, Spring Plant Sale, Spring Clean Up, Near South Garage Sale, and of course our Annual Meeting.
